When I started down this road of photography, I really wasn’t sure how it would take shape. Would it be a hobby; something I did for fun here and there? What if nothing happened? What if it all fizzled before I even got started? And what if people actually liked my work and actually sought me out to photograph the ones they loved? Strangely enough, I feel like I’ve experienced a little bit of everything in my first year of business. Whenever I receive an email requesting photo sessions or wedding coverage, I’m still a little shocked and terrified. Really? ME?
That was my exact thought process when Shannon contacted me last Fall to see if I was interested and available in shooting her wedding. At that point, I had little to show for myself and was only just beginning to feel comfortable with my manual camera settings. But surprisingly, Shannon believed in me and was excited to have me photograph her big day! This business would be nothing without these FRIENDS who believe in me more than I believe in myself.
So I had the pleasure of spending this past Saturday with the sweet Fowkes family and their incredible families and friends as Shannon and Stephen vowed to love each other for life on the lawn of Stone Manor under the prettiest blue skies. I spent so much of the day saying, “this day is just so perfect!”..because it really was. The fun bridal party, the OUTSTANDING florals, the weather!, Shannon’s STUNNING bridal portraits, that sweet first look, the heartfelt ceremony, the BIG happy family (that cooperated SO WELL for family portraits!), the food… I’m so excited to give you a little glimpse into their picture perfect day!
Shannon and Stephen, I’m a little sad that I don’t have your wedding to look forward to anymore! I’m so glad you two found each other and pray God’s blessing on your marriage. Have a fantastic time on your honeymoon!!
