Do you ever wonder what brides did for wedding ides and inspiration before Pinterest? Every time I photograph a wedding I find myself thinking this very thing. Even my wedding in 2012 was at the very beginning of the “Pinterest movement” (as I call it). While I love photographing weddings that are filled with photo-worthy details, it’s just as enjoyable to photograph those weddings that are more focused on the main event of the day…the marriage!
The perfect weather forecast, Jenna’s gorgeous gown, the incredible (!!) florals and the classic Washington County Museum of Fine Arts reception; everything about this day was simple and so beautiful. But the best part of the day? The ceremony. Jenna and Taylor were all smiles as they said their “I dos” amongst their families and closest friends. Their happiness in those moments was so apparent and it was such a joy to witness!
After a very rainy engagement session back in July, I was hoping Jenna and Taylor’s wedding day would be blessed with blue skies and lots of sunshine! And it was. And it was just perfect. There’s just something to love about a crisp Fall day…and when that day also happens to be your wedding day, it’s pretty awesome!
Jenna and Taylor, you two are so incredibly special, and I love who you are as a couple. May God richly bless your marriage! I am so excited for all that lies ahead for you. (And…I’m secretly crossing my fingers that you’ll be living in the Hagerstown area again soon!) Enjoy some of my favorites from Jenna and Taylor’s gorgeous Fall wedding day!
